長年使っていたミシンの糸巻き軸が回らなくなってしまい、ボビンに糸が巻けないと言う。同じメーカーのミシンを扱っている販売店に問い合わせると分解修理になるので１万円はかかるという。糸巻き軸に糸が絡まっているのではないかということだ。昔の機械は分解しやすいので、自分で修理できるかもしれないと思いやってみた。分解してみると写真の中央に写っているゴムのローラーが回らない。糸はどこにも絡まっていない。黒いネジを外して、雑巾でゴムのローラーを拭いているうちに回り始めた。軸の脇に小さな穴があり、CRC5-56を吹き込むと一層軽やかに回るようになった。あっけなく修理は終わってしまった。長い間使っていなかったので潤滑油が劣化して固まっていたようだ。
