今年の夏季休暇はどこにも出かけなかった。その代り、通販でビデオ雲台、マジックアーム、Star Wars: The Force Awakensのビデオを買い、のんびりと静養だ。と言うより、初日に猛暑の中草むしりをしたため、体を休めるしかなかった。
水遣りに庭に出ると珍しいお客さんが来ていた。黄斑挵（きまだらせせり）だ。カメラを向けると翅が撮れるように横を向いてくれた。

陽が落ちてくると、声はすれど油蟬を見つけにくい。やっと見つけてもピントが合いにくい。棗の木にとまっている蝉をストロボで捉えた。
油蝉の幼虫は地中で2～4年過ごし、成虫になっても3～4週間生きるともいわれている。
When the sun comes down, cries are heard but hard to find a Large Brown Cicada. I've found barely, is difficult to focus. I was taken by the flash discharges the cicada which was on the trunk of jujube.
Larvae of large brown cicada is also said to live two to four years in the ground, and to live three to four weeks to become imaginal.

庭の欅の枝をばっさりと切り落とした。切った枝を集めていると手袋に動く物体が付いていた。食われた若枝があったので、そこに居たようだ。

梅枝尺蛾（うめえだしゃくが）。幼虫は所謂尺取虫で、幼虫が梅の枝に似ているからこの名前がある。飛び方が変わっていて、蜻蛉のように翅をＴの字にして飛んでいた。
Plum Cankerworm Moth (Umeedashakuga). Larva is a so-called Inchworm, Japanese name is a means that larvae are similar to the branches of the plum. This moth is a unique flight. It was flying with the wings in shape of T as a dragonfly.

プライヤ挙尾虫（しりあげむし）の雄。尻上虫とか尻揚げ虫とも書く。プライヤは発見者の名前である。肉食。
Male Panorpa pryeri (scorpionfly). Pryeri is the name of the discoverer. It is an insect of the carnivorous.

姫丸鰹節虫（ひめまるかつおぶしむし）。幼虫は動物繊維を食べるので服の虫食い被害を起こす。成虫は白い花の花粉を食べる。写真の花は寒白菊（かんしろぎく、ノースポール）。
Varied carpet beetle. The larvae eat the animal fibers, causing the worm damage of clothes. The adults eat of the pollen the of white flowers. Flowers below are swamp chrysanthemum.

今年も、庭の藤の蜜を吸いに熊蜂がやってきた。

横綱刺亀羽化中 Yokozuna assassin bug in the adult emergence ― 2016年04月16日 17時10分00秒
横綱刺亀（よこづなさしがめ）が桜の木で羽化している。真ん中の赤いのが羽化直後。すぐ右に抜け殻が見える。その周りは幼虫。右端に羽化後時間が経って黒くなった成虫が写っている。滅多に刺すことはないが、刺されると大そう痛いらしい。
Yokozuna assassin bug (Yokodzuna-sashigame) has emerged at the cherry tree. The center of the red insects is just after adult emergence. Empty shell on the right can be seen. Its around larvae. To the right, has been taken the adult that blackened over time after emergence. While it is rare that the insects sting people, but very painful to be stabbed.
